I had the pleasure to create this 3D animation for the limited edition sneaker collaboration between Gramps and KangaROOS. Inspired by the carefree days of summer vacations spent on the beach, this animation is a visual tribute to those sun-soaked memories.

The scene opens with a shoebox sculpted from sand, set against a backdrop of a beach chair and umbrella gently fading in the wind. As the sand is whisked away, it reveals the crème-colored sneakers. The entire scene is designed to evoke that warm, nostalgic feeling of childhood summers by the beach.

To bring this vision to life, Linus Käpplinger and Kay Propheter made a precise 3D scan of the shoes using RealityCapture. I then used Blender to model, animate, and render the scene, ensuring that every grain of sand and each ripple in the breeze contributes to the story.
